GEARING UP FOR WINTER! GREAT NEW
WINES!
Caymus 2007 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon just landed on the Jack shelves and it's tasting
absolutely fabulous! Cab drinkers should load up on this one! Amazing balance and dazzling girth.
Clos
de Sixte 2005 Lirac might be the most elegant bottles on the shelf. A customer gave Jack the best line to describe
this wine, "It's the first wine that ever kissed me back". It's almost gone. Grab one.
Domaine
Maby 2007 Lirac is also amazingly graceful and for less than $20 it's one of the best buys right now. Grenache, Syrah,
Mourvedre. Delicious.
Emerson 2007 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley. Speaking of bargains.
So inexpensive yet so beautiful.
Lopez Island Dry Riesling 2008. This was the
big hit at the recent Lopez Island tasting at Jack Cellars. Dry, but big mouth feel and lots of fruit without going sweety-pie
on ya. Deal!
Nashwauk Tempranillo 2007. An Australian Tempranillo? It's not only
a surprise it's freakishly amazing. HUGE mouth appeal and some spice that makes you want to power through the glass and pour
another one.
Nicholas Cole 2006 Dauphine Walla Walla Estate Grown Syrah.
A punch to the tongue. Rich vanilla oak and gigantic black fruits mesmerize the Washington wine fan in all of us.
Finally,
Schild Estate 2007 Shiraz. #43 on the top 100 list of 2009 (WS) and it's classically Australian elegance.
Dark, thick and layered. Not over-the-top....just right.
